Manikya Lal Verma Textile Institute was subsisted in 1984. The industrialists of Bhilwara joined hands with the government of Rajasthan to bring about the establishment of the only engineering college of Rajasthan offering a degree in textiles. In the year 1988; it was upgraded to a degree level engineering college and rechristened Manikya Lal Verma Textile Institute. It started with the Textile Technology branch with an intake of 30 students per year through RPET. It is affiliated to the University of Rajasthan and is approved by A.I.C.T.E. MLVTEC is engaged in carrying out original research of significance and technology development at the cutting edge. It imparts training to students so that they become competent and motivated engineers. The College celebrates freedom of thought, cultivates vision and encourages growth, but also inculcates human values and concern for the environment and the society. Acknowledging the importance of high grade technical-cum--practical education in the feild of textiles, Textile Technology was introduced in MLVTI in1988 firstly with the intake of 30 students per batch. Due to increased demand of textile technocrats no of students per bathe is raised to 60. Textile technology has two phase?s spining and weaving.
